Wire Composting
Wire composting means making a square or rectangular composting enclosure which has wire or net on all sides. The best thing about wire composting is that the apparatus or the enclosure to be erected is easy, takes very little time and can be done using scrap discarded items. This enclosure can be filled with any organic matter meant to be composed. Such an apparatus is efficient for composting any waste right from foliage, grass clippings, kitchen scraps and garden waste.
Compost Bins
Composting can also be practiced in apartments or homes using a compost bin. Plastic storage bins can be used for this purpose which can fit in more material easily. It can be well covered hence the chances of stench or the menace of flies can be easily controlled. People living in apartments or flats can easily adopt this composting method and derive its benefits in less space.
Trash Can Composting
Using trash cans for composting is easy and cost effective. Trash cans are generally cheap and easily available, they fit in little space and can be operated easily. The convenience of working adds to the benefit of trash can composting. Trash cans can also be used as compost tumblers by laying it sideways and rolling it around. It comes ready in different sizes and can fix in small spaces.
Sheet Composting
Sheet composting is also known as Lasagna gardening. Sheet composting is done by spreading layers of compost, piling them to the top. This helps in getting fertile nutrient rich soil for your plants as soon as you plant them. Once laid the layers don’t need to be turned or tilled, the compost will break down providing nutrients to the plants gradually. Sheet composting is easy and it gets directly placed at the place where you intend to plant. Gardeners who don’t have space for piling compost or who are not comfortable with composting in bins can easily practice sheet composting.
Vermi-composting

Vermi-composting involves using a special earthworm to digest the organic matter who in turn leave their castings which are rich in nutrients and texture. Vermi-compost can be used in indoor vegetable gardens or to plant fruit trees out in parks. The process is completely natural and turns out extremely rewarding. Gardeners can feed worms all their kitchen waste and scraps along with other organic matter from their garden.
