WHAT IS THE BEST MULCH TO USE?

I’m not sure if you are a seasoned gardener or a newbie but if you are researching on the best mulch to use, then read on because we have plenty of insights and tips that will help you do grow and have a green yellow and your garden. Now spring is approaching and it’s that time of the year where we need to begin mulching the flower beds and preparing them for summer. I always think that natural mulch is always beneficial for the garden. it tends to retain moisture within the soil saving you the trouble of having to water the plants often. it also looks like see you later keeping the plant roots cool during summer and keeping it warm during cold climates. the way weeds and you don’t have that additional work to weed often.

the finest natural mulch

well there are numerous natural mulch available in the market. you would find mulch with pine straw, hardwood bark and the most popular old hay. so which one will be the best for your plants

Pine straw mulch

this mulch is excellent to suppress weeds. it tends to become a very thick mat resisting weeds that try to grow through it. but pinestraw isn’t for all gardens. This can turn the soil acidic over time making it extremely difficult to cultivate anything. however there are plenty of plants that thrive in acid soil. suppose the flower bed has such plants then I recommend pinestraw  because it will be perfect.

hardwood mulch

majority of gardeners have plants that grow in soil that is sweet neutral. in such cases hardwood mulch is excellent. it will decompose into sweet smelling, rich black looking tidy through the entire process. hardwood mulch is excellent to amend the soil. the only issue is it is a very expensive especially if you plan to purchase it from the garden center.

hay mulch

the good old hey is extremely cheap. for some reason if the hey will get wet it certainly spoils and farmers cannot utilize it. you can’t feed animals wet hay, it could kill them. In such a case the garden will love it way better in comparison to unspoiled, fresh hay. I think the vegetable garden well love it more than hardwood mulch. for just a few bucks you will get a bill of hay that has gone bad.

the only issue with bad hey is it’s made of greens or grass. now grass in your garden is weed and the hay is full of seeds of this nature. There is also a possibility that other wheels might I’ve been tide up with the hay. what can be done? it’s impossible to sit sorting the entire pile. so the best thing that you can do is add some more hay. if you file hey around your plants ensuring there is a good amount of depth approximately 31 centimeters, it becomes extremely thick for these weeds to go through. it is an excellent solution especially for vegetable beds. we have tried it and it works well!

As you can see there are various benefits of mulching, so depending on the kind of soil you have and the plants you’re growing start mulching as soon as possible. All the best.
